| When I approachedthe way the Stables Gallery divides into 4 bays, such an environment encouraged me to see each of these 4 spaces as a separate exhibition areas. I chose to relate each of these spaces to the others by subject composition and form as appropriate. In this exhibition, I exhibited works based around the 3 primaries of Red, yellow and blue in three of the spaces that relate to the Cuisenaire numbers 2,5 and 9. In contrast to these three spaces of vibrant colour a fourth quieter space of pencil, graphite and other monochrome works wascreated as the drawn space. As there is correlation In each of the systems and series that I work with, similar works were shown in each of the spaces in order to highlight the strong integration and interplay present between themes, colour and media. | |
